From its appearance on the uniform of the French Navy to the fashion influences of Queen Victoria and Coco Chanel, the striped pattern became a benchmark of light, elegant and timeless style, later becoming a classic pattern in outdoor furniture. Designed by Ramón Esteve for Vondom, Hamptons sought simplicity and sophistication in equal parts. Steel legs designed especially for the collection, wooden pins that act as fixings for the taut and resistant fabrics, aluminium tubes that intersect to form the different structures, or stitching in contrasting colours, are some of the small details that make Hamptons a comfortable collection with a lot of character.
