House la Torre
Settled in a cliff in front of Valencia inner valley, this house is designed over an antique country house ruins. The design pretends to suggest the pre-existent volume taking as a singular element a tower.
The house is surrounding a main courtyard by which is the entrance. Next to it the essential areas are disposed in parallel. The space sequence of kitchen, dining room, living room and master bedroom shaping an unique inner block turning and extending to the south oriented covered patio opening to the valley through huge glass and wood walls framing the astonishing landscape.
The gallery starts from a high platform bordered by an old cypress mass from where the setting is perceived beautifully. This platform is the origin of a descending deck to the inner valley connecting the house with the surrounding. The flat areas hold the trees, a kitchen garden and the pool. The main materials used are, limestone and wood. Once again the proposal seems to come from the same rock.
